Do you know what the cause of more greenhouse gases than cars? I didn’t know either but after watching Conspiracy I discovered that animal agriculture is the leading cause of deforestation, water consumption and pollution, and more greenhouse gases than the transportation industry.
According to the website of Cowspiracy, animal agriculture is responsible for “virtually every other environmental ill.” I was shocked about it all. The documentary stars a man named Kip Anderson who investigates and tried talking with the world’s leading environmental organizations. In the movie he kept trying to set up interviews with big organizations to get what they know about it but all of them kept denying him. According to the World Watch Institute, of livestock accounts for “at least half of all human-caused greenhouse gases.”
Watching this documentary really made me want to eat less meat. All the livestock that is raised for us to eat is really affecting the environment. The fact that the animals cause more issues than the amount of cars and different transportations in the world is crazy.
